In 20+ years of being a travel agent, I've received a monetary tip maybe 3 times. But, like Chuck's partner, clients often bring back a small gift for me, including things like cloisonne pill boxes, Swarovski crytal ornaments, etc. It's always appreciated yet never expected.
I just wish the suppliers (cruise lines, etc) wanted to tip us more often!
