Hi Maurice, welcome to Cruise-Chat. The price will drop only if the ship is not full. The prices are usually quoted per person based on double occupancy. I've done a few solo cruises, HAL, NCL, and Carnival. I've found Carnival to have the best prices for a single. It never hurts to call the cruise line and check.
