The best pink sand beaches are all on the south side of the island and one of the closest beautiful pink sand beach to King's Wharf is Horseshoe Bay. (Also one of the best) All cab drivers will most definitely know where the beach is located. Whale Bay is actually closer, but it is a small pink sand beach and is known to completely disappear during high tide.
