One of my cruises in October of 2008 is paid in full. At least I won't have to pay a fuel surcharge on that one.
Don't count on it - the only way to avoid surcharges (fuel, taxes, etc) is to NOT cruise and who wants to do that?

It's no different than folks who choose a lower category instead of a veranda in order to cruise. How many times have we said "...if it's a choice between not cruising or not having a veranda..."
