If it is an excursion that you absolutely, positively, would be upset if you couldn't get, book it ahead of time. I'm with vacationbound, if it's a port I haven't visited before, I book through the ship. The peace of mind is worth it. Do your homework. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise!
