It also depends on how far off shore you are anchored. If I remember right in Belize wh were about 5 miles off shore in order to protect the coral reef. This took a lot longer than say Grand Cayman where we were just off shore.
Like Dave said, if you are booking a private tour or just going ashore you will have a lower priority for the tender.
