That's great information, Gary; first, I thought they all went up the Inside Passage, or East side of Vancouver Island. I've been on the West side and you are right--it can be rough. Also, as you say, Victoria is lovely, but much better seen during the day. And a day in Glacier Bay alone is worth a Vancouver departure.
So unless there is a BIG difference in the airfare, Gary, you have convinced me, at least, that Vancouver is the better choice.
