I was on Veendam two years ago on a Baltic cruise; I can't say enough good things about Holland America and Veendam. The ship is an ideal size and is very well maintained. It dosen't have all the "goodies" of the bigger and newer ships, but I think it is a very comfortable ship and easy to get around.
