REmember, this is a cab (to Red Hook) ferry (to St. John) cab arrangement. Trunk bay is not right next to the ferry dock. It is worth the effort. The cabs are delightful open air and the scenery on St. John is lovely. You are less then 10 minutes from the ferry dock on St. John. Cabs were waiting in the lot at Trunk Bay for people returning to the ferry. There were cabs on the ST. Thomas side of the ferry dock, and also a bus--we weren't adventuresome enough to try, but it got back to the ship same time the cab did! We spent from about 10 a.m. to about 3 p.m. at Trunk Bay not including any transportation, and had time to check out a couple shops and be back on board by 5 as requested. I'll remind you what i have posted many times before: St. Thomas is Atlantic time. Most ships stay on time with the port of departure, if this was Miami for this you this Eastern time. Check your watch and NOT any local clocks you see around. The dashboard clock in the cab may be a different time zone than you think!
