Both sides, in the Inside Passage. Of course, wildlife or a special aspect of scenery (glacier, waterfall, etc.) might be spotted on the opposite side of the ship from you, so be prepared to go outside to see things too. However, the balcony will allow you to see the scenery and other things anytime - when you just wake up, for example, or are dressing for dinner. (Just be sure to throw on a robe first!)
