If you have the space to pack four sets of snorkels and masks, bringing your own is much preferable - but only if you get a mask that is fitted. Buying a mask in one of those plastic encased packages that does not allow you to try it on before purchase is no better than taking a mask from the vendor.
No need to bring your own fins. For the amount of time you will spend in the water, the vendor's fins will do just fine.
