I can't say I have noticed any difference in the excellence of service that we have enjoyed on our cruises whether automatic tipping was in force or it was left up to us. We have yet to suffer anything other than excellent service, maybe we have been lucky or maybe it's that we also show our appreciation for good service with a regular thank you and a smile. We do see some horrible attitudes by some fellow cruisers towards waiters and cabin staff. A bit of respect goes a long way and makes a more enjoyable vacation for everyone. Sure everyone can have a bad day, but hey remember you are on vacation to enjoy it, not to find dislikes.
