On many ships there is not a lot of difference between a balcony cabin and standard oceanview - other than the balcony. However, on the Majesty there is a great deal of difference. First, a standard Category D oceanview stateroom is 157 sq. ft. and Category F,G,H and I are only 122 sq. ft. A balcony stateroom is a much larger 264 sq. ft.(balcony is 70 sq ft) and furnishings include a sofa bed, refrigerator, and bathtub (none of which are in a standard oceanview cabin). So, in this case a couple hundred dollars more may be well worth the difference. Plus, the added enjoyment of a balcony is, in my opinion, a wonderful treat!
