Hallo allerseits,

Seatrade Insider meldet:

Pod problem alters NCL Hawaii routes
2/4/2004
Norwegian Cruise Line revised the schedule for Norwegian Star's Hawai`i itineraries due to damage to the forward thrust bearing in the ship's Azipod system.

The ship can still travel 18 knots but cannot achieve the normal 25 knots needed to run the Hawai`i itinerary including Fanning Island. Starting Sunday, through April 25, Norwegian Star will drop Fanning Island and operate a revised itinerary with more time in the Hawai`ian islands.

The vessel will enter its previously scheduled dry dock early for repairs to the Azipod. As a result, NCL cancelled Norwegian Star's May 2 Trans Pacific voyage from Honolulu to Vancouver. Passengers booked on this sailing will receive a full refund, a certificate qual to 25% of the amount they paid for the cruise and applicable airline change fees.
