As a Pediatric RN I would say do NOT take your 1 year old into a foreign country! Of course I also wince at the sight of 2 week old babies at Walmart!!
We take our kids on several vacations a year and tehy go with their granparents and da as well - so I feel that my cruises are times for my hubby and me to realx and be TOTALLY free of responsibility.
But just remember - thats one gals opinion
