We got spoiled when we had an OS on the Rhapsody with our balcony directly behind the port bridge wing. There was somebody from the state of Alaska on the bridge wing with the Captain and would talk to me directly as I took photos. He pointed out sheep way up in the mountains to me, etc. I think there was another person doing commentary on the PA system, but you are correct - we didn't hear it in our cabin.
