Let me add that if you've never driven on St. Thomas you might want to reconsider renting a car. Tight roads, congested traffic, and hairpin turns are common, and they drive on the left side of the road as in the UK. Some curves require you to stop and honk the horn before proceeding, lest you have a head-on crash with someone coming from the other direction.

And yes, I've driven in the Virgin Islands before.
