I'll add another vote for leaving early. In fact, I'd have all of your luggage in one place ready to go so that you don't waste any time in the morning. And, you're very wise to keep your eye on the weather. Also, have some alternate routes planned in case you run into any delays along the way. Most importantly, enjoy your cruise!
