Jargey 3000, sounds like you got by OK; and appears that cruising is not really to your liking. Perhaps the ship was to big for you to enjoy and you were overwhelmed by the size and number of cruisers on board. Sometimes a smaller ship is easier to navigate and gives more of a relaxed atmosphere..One needs to find out what works.
