I will be on the Carnival Dream (August 6th), Western Carb islands. I have done the Eastern a few times but never the Western.

We are a big group (12 people), ranging from ages 2- 65.

I wanted to know if someone could tell me what would be fun/worth it on each island.

For example, which island (Cozumel, Rotan, Belize etc) would be the best for a beach day, which island/stop best for shopping (watches, jewlery), which one best for sight seeing.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, I am a little concerned with the recent crime in Mexico. Should we feel safe in these islands or stay away from certain places.
