This is a photo taken on Sapphire Princess from a Baja Deck balcony on the portside looking forward. As you can see, the Baja Deck balconies are covered by the Aloha Deck balconies above; and both are covered by the overhanging Lido Deck above that. The balconies on Caribe Deck below jut out a little and the mini-suite balconies on Dolphin Deck jut out even more.
I don't think you could say that your view is obstructed in any direction. And the overhang above can protect you from rain or direct sun.
