Frankly, I have a feeling it was a sneaky way for Carnival to direct market. It's a cheap way to market to past guest who may not have a cruise booked. Those that have one booked just shrugged it off thinking it was in reference to their booked cruise. Those that don't have a cruise booked are puzzled why they got it, but it might plant a seed for them to book a cruise. I point out again the email didn't address you by name or a booking number. Any email I get from a cruise line on a cruise I have booked addresses me by name or refers to a booking number.
