Just a quick clarification on your post...you mention above that due to the cancellation policy, you may lose part or all of your deposit. It is very important to note that the major cruise lines here in the United States require full payment of the entire cruise fare 60 days before the cruise, and depending on when the cruise is cancelled, you may lose part or all of the TOTAL cruise fare, not just the deposit.
Another way of saying this is within 60 days of your cruise, there is no deposit, since the fare must be paid in full.
