We did the 10 day Wayfarer on the Noordam in 2009. The only port not on our cruise is Rousseau Dominica and we did Tortola BVA instead of St Thomas USVI. The ship is lovely and we really enjoyed the ports. Don't know what you like to do, but we just did a drive around St Maartin, which was lovely and informative. We then had lunch on in the shopping area. There is a beach off there, with chairs & umbrellas for rent if you want. In Barbados, we went snorkeling with the sea turtles then had beach time. Beautiful waters and beach. In Martinique, we did a tour to see where the volcano exploded, stopped at a wonderful church and spent time exploring one of the best botanical gardens we've ever seen. Lovely, lovely island. We just did some exploring around Castries in St Lucia, but tablemates loved the excursion to Soufriere. Can't say much about formal nights - -we've done so many, it's just another dinner in the dining room. However, it is a great opportunity to dress up and get great photos. The dinners are also special those nights. You should have three formal nights on the 11 day cruise. As I said, the Noordam is lovely - as are all HAL ships - and the service is impeccable. I hope you enjoy sailing HAL as much as we do.
