Hi CNR, congratulations on your up-coming cruise! What a fantastic way to celebrate the holidays, and the Grand Princess is Grand. We've sailed on her sister ships, but never on her. However, she's a beauty, she's been in many ports that we've been in. Princess does offer a soda card and various alcoholic packages. Here is a link to their website. You need to download the pdf form. This is for alcoholic purchases. The soda cards can be purchased the first day of your cruise at any bar and they also have tables set up (it's really just a sticker). Unless your daughter drinks more than 4 cans of soda a day, you probably won't come out ahead. They do offer noncarbonated drinks like coffee, tea, water, juice, and some type of lemonade or punch free during the day at the buffets and in the dining rooms. That, of course, is up to you. Best wishes and have a wonderful cruise!
