Welcome to cruise chat. It would help if you told us what ports your cruise was stopping at. There are many different itineraries in the Mediterranean. When I stopped in Alexandria we did a 12 hour tour to the Pyramids. It left early in the morning from the ship and returned late in the evening. A mid day lunch buffet was included in the tour. The ship's buffet area should still be serving something when you return. There's also the ship's room service.
