We did that one on our first cruise and flew out that morning as well (woke up to a snow storm) and realize we were lucky to have made it there. We now travel 1 or 2 days early to get a head start and to know we will be there when the ship sails away. I know the cruise lines will try to accomodate you if you have the air/sea package, BUT.
