I like a traditional martini too - I have one on most evenings of a cruise before heading to dinner. Sometimes two . Mine is with Beefeaters, in and out on the vermouth, 2 to 3 olives, and sometimes a little dirty....this depends on my mood. I cannot stand the abominations being made in the name of martinis - even those made with vodka, which are a different drink and shouldn't be called a martini.
And we won't even mention the martini on the rocks! I actually had a Carnival bartender make fun of me once (in a good way) because I wanted my drink straight-up and not on the rocks. Cretin!
