In my opinion, cruise line food has improved 10-fold over the years.
There are no many new, creative minds out there concocting new and exciting dishes. (Ken, I'm talking about you!) The Food Network has enlightened people's senses and desire for delectable food. I enjoy watching and learning from the Iron Chef.
When we first cruised, sushi was basically, unheard of. Tapas is very big now. Creme Brulee' is an example of a dessert that wasn't well known until recent years. Who ever would have thought to put warm, chocolate mousse filling inside of a chocolate melting cake 20 years ago. Thank God for that one!
I love to watch Paula Deen, Ina Garten and Giada DeLaurentis. I then make their recipes in my own home. Now, I just have to get Chef Ken to let me in on a few of his "gems".
