I have eaten Jerk Chicken a few times. It is a little too spicy for my taste. And that is saying something since I like Tabasco sauce.
I would think the Scotch Bonnett and Habanero peppers are very similar and both very hot. They are probably used to make the Jerk seasoning.
For me, my favorite Jamaican dish is Oxtail. I do love their beef patties (turnovers)too.
I don't know what my favorite Mexican dish is, I like them all.
I do love Bahamian Conch fritters. Especially when they have some Cayenne Pepper (but not so much as to be as hot as Jerk Chicken).
