There are many restaurants aboard the Jewel where you eat free, and just a few where you pay a surcharge to enter. The surcharge is more for reducing the numbers of diners since the speciality restaurants are small in size in comparison to the main restaurants.

I believe a glass of wine runs around $4 to $5 per glass. It'll be cheaper to buy a bottle of wine at your first dinner, then have the waiter store what you don't drink the first night for you to drink the rest of the cruise. If you wish, you can take the unfinished bottle of wine back to yur cabin. Either way, you'll save more money by buying a bottle of wine at a time over buying by the glass.
