If I understand what I've read of the customs process, the disemarkation process takes longer if the port of call preceeding the final destination is another country...therefore, if one is sailing to/from San Juan and one visits Charlotte Amalie the day prior, customs will have been dealt with on St. Thomas because PR and USVI are both US territories, yes?

I'm attempting to figure out what would *reasonably* be the earliest time one could walk-off w/luggage and get to Isla Grande airport to catch a fight to Vieques following the cruise.

Insight much appreciated.
