Our flight doesn't leave from Vancouver until 11 at night. We get off the boat early in the a.m.--any ideas of what we can do with our luggage for the day?
We will be facing the same thing. We will be making our way down to Seattle, but we would like to spend a day in Vancouver, and I hear its supposed to be a very walkable city. Not with tons of luggage, though, I'd guess.
Our Carnival vacation planner told me about a company called CDS baggage service. There is a counter at the pier and at the airport. The one at the pier is located by the car rentals and is open from 7:30 till 4:30 but the airport one is open till almost midnight. It is $4.50 for carryon, $5.50 for luggage and $7 for larger stuff. For $15 more they will transport your luggage to the airport for you. Number at the pier is 604/683-3696 but when I called they said you could just walk up and take care of it. Hope it helps---I was really worried for awhile--
we just got back. there is a hotel attached to the airport. you might consider getting a room so you can rest. in any even, if you go there for a bit for breakfast or something, i am sure they will store your luggage. I think the hotel is the Fairmont.
Vancouver is a lovely city. If I had all of that time on my hands I would consider a side trip during the day since a 12 hour wait can really be a drag, especially when you are at the end of the trip. Ask the tour consultants onboard for ideas, they are loaded with ideas.
