FIRST TIME ALASKA

We are planning on a cruise to Alaska in either Sept. or early June we have never been there so, what is the best time and what passage inside or outside? And do we get a package deal with air included or purchase that seperately?
Any particular cruise better than another?

June, especially early June, is blessed with warm sunny weather with long days. In September you are alm ost guaranteed rain everyday. However the last couple of cruises in September offer outstand shopping opportunities with savings of 50% and more.

Most people do an inside passage cruise as it offers pretty much everything Alaska has to offer.

As to the right ship/lione? A lot depends on the age froup and budget of your party and your expectations.

I prefer Princess. They offer exellent Alaska cruises & tours.
As for the air you can get it included with the cruise cost, or deviate & purchase your own air.

I personally find that September is a nice time to cruise Alaska. Mr. Ogg is correct that you may encounter more rain and sometimes a bit more chilly, but overall it is an excellent time to cruise. I personally find that Celebrity M-class ships provide a excellent cruise experience, esp. for the more refined cruiser. The service, food, cabins, and the ship itself are superior to some of the other lines. Only Crystal is a cut above from my experience and of course you pay for it.

You will enjoy Alaska regardless of the ship you choose or even the time of year. But, if you truly desire an outstanding cruise vacation, I would book Celebrity's Summit or Infinity.
