Okay, I am traveling with my husband and kids, 9,19 & my 20 year old son will turn 21 when we are in Juneau. I really want to make this a very special birthday he'll never forget. Anyone have any suggestions on excursions. He thinks he may want to do a whale watching, or do a dogsled experience. And of course all real good local bar/restaruant. Any advice will be appreciated.
Whale watching is a can't miss trip. There are local vendors who are outstanding. Someone help me out; for the life of me I can't remember the one in particular. Was it Captain John? I don't recall.
Thanks so much for the info. I'm sure my son will enjoy the Red Dog. I'll also look into Captain Larry's for whale watching. I'll check back for more info tomorrow. Cheers
We are going June 10th -17th on the Pearl. We'll miss each other by a week. If you get at chance let me know how your trip was and any advise. Thanks, Corina
We did a Mendenhall Glacier/whale watching combo trip that we booked through the ship. It was a GREAT trip. Yes, definitely the Red Dog for his birthday, you will all love it. I think kids can go in too although Im not 100% sure on that. Its a good ole gold-mining day saloon.
