Checking Baggage at Pier

Hello Everyone -
We are scheduled on the Diamond Princess 9/13-9/20. My parents have taken the same trip and seem to remember being able to check their baggage with the airline as soon as they got off the boat in Whittier. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, do you know what airlines allow you to check baggage?

Hi Kim! Welcome to cruise chat!

You can check with your airline to make sure, but last I heard, they were still doing this (at least for AA and Alaskan Air) You can find it on the AA website. It is definitely worth it if you plan on renting a car and exploring on your way to Anchorage. If you are taking the ships transfer, it might not be.
