Serenade/Hubbard Glaciers

We board Serenade of the Seas from Vancouver,BC, and need to know if US currency is accepted in Canada (i.e., for taxi fares, dining out, etc.)? Also, our room on the Serenade is located on the right side (starboard); will we be able to see Hubbard Glaciers from our balcony?

Yes, you can negotiate American currency in Vancouver, no problem.

Regarding the starboard side of the ship, your captain is likely to rotate the ship once, or maybe twice while at Hubbard Glacier, so yes, you should have a front row seat for Hubbard. In 2005, the captain of the Radiance did one revolution so both sides of the ship had front row seats. We were there for about 3 or 4 hours if I recall, and was one of the highlights of our cruise.
