Cruising with children

Can anyone recommend good excursions for boys aged 6 and 10? Also will be traveling with in-laws (grandparents) who are in their 70's would like to include them in as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, what cruise line would be best to use for children? We have sailed on Disney twice and do not expect to have any other cruise line match Disney's children programs, but would like something that is nice and trustworthy.

For Alaska, consider Holland America, which - last I heard - has special shore excursions just for kids. Other good possibilities would be Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, NCL and Carnival, in that order (my own order of preference for Alaska, not counting the small ships, which really aren't geared for kids). Best to check with a cruise-oriented travel agent too, as they can work with your interests in more detail to find the cruise that's right for all of you.
