need some advice, i'm in the process of booking an alaskan cruise on holland and want to know which is better glacier bay or hubbard glacier? has anyone done both and can give me some insight? thanks!
I have been to both numerous times. I would have to give Glacier Bay a "thumbs up" for diversity and potential wildlife sightings, but give Hubbard Glacier a "thumbs up" for intensity and overall presence.
thanks! could you elaborate a little more? is hubbard intense because it's so large - and would you get to see wildlife? is glacier more diverse in landscape?
Hubbard Glacier is quite large and actively calving. The entrance to the glacier is wonderful and the noise when she calves is captivating. You will need an excellent pair of binaculars to spot much game, but you will see some during the cruise.
Glacier Bay is also awesome but lacks the intenisty that Hubbard has, in my opinion.
