Alaska Bound

We will be heading to Alaska on Holland Westerdam on June 16! My wife and I are excited. Got a balcony! I have a question to any who have sailed with HA, We had to get "anytime dining", Whats that about? The way I understand we go between 5:30 and 9:30. Do we have different waiters each night?

Yes, you can go to dinner anytime during those hours. Even though it is open dining during those times it is best to make a reservation. You will have a different waiter and table every night. However; if you find a waiter you really like you can ask for that waiters table. Without reservations you may have to wait.

Hi, zoom. We will also be on Westerdam in Alaska this summer. We've sailed HAL several times, and had anytime dining on our cruise last year. It was much better than I had expected. We made reservations for the formal nights; other nights, it wasn't much of a wait to get a table IF we went before 6:00. We have anytime dining on our upcoming Westerdam cruise, as well. I think it's great for the Alaska itinerary as we won't have to rush back to the ship in Juneau, as we don't get there until 1:00.
