Default How cold higher up?
They are having a warm season in Alaska right now. I'm not sure how to dress for excursions. Especially I'm thinking of excursions to higher elevations, like up on the glacier above Juneau. How much cooler will it be up above Juneau than the official temp down in town?

I would suggest that you think in layers. A t shirt, a sweatshirt and a meduium weight jacket. I'd also recommend a hat gloves...and don't forget sunglasses. The glare is brutal!

I return to report that it was not much colder up on the glacier than it was down in town. Just one man's experience on one day. With temps in the 50's the poor sled dogs were suffering from the heat. A very lovely day, this one.
