We think from reading the posts here this will be one we want to take together. However we do wonder if it is extremly bumpy, on the train or bus I had brain surgery almost 3 years ago and although day to day I am fine I nedto be careful to prevent major head and neck pain.
And also if you choose the train round trip what do you do when you reach the top? Get off, immediate turn around, tourist shop?
Thanks!

The train isn't especially bumpy but you do have a couple little ones here and there owing to track switches. It was not any worse than driving in a car on a typical highway. I can't speak for the bus. There may be more than one round-trip train itinerary but on ours we were not allowed off at the turnaround. It is in Canada and as long as passengers stay aboard they aren't considered as entering Canada. There was nothing but a boundary marker and if someone got off the train they said they had to call Canadian authorities which were miles away.

I took the train back in 2002, it was great. We got on the last car in the last row, this way you can stand outside on the platform and have a clear view. When you get to the top, they uncouple the engine and divert it on a side rail. Then recouple the engine so the last car is now the first car. The seats also flip over so you can face forward on your trip back. This is well worth the time.

We booked this round trip on the train, thanks for the advise! Not too long now!

The train stops long enough so the crew can go to the other end of the train....and star down...It's a great trip....Been up there three times now....enjoyed early May much better than June or Sept.....Happy Cruising...
