I have a 5 year old daughter who loves dogs. i was wondering if the dog sledding shore excursion out of Skagway (we are on Princess on Saturday) would be interesting to her. It goes on wheeled carts for like 1 1/2 miles and then you get to pet the dogs, etc.

Otherwise, there is a 7 hour tour from the ship to Yukon and you can see dogs there. I am just afraid 7 hours will bore her stiff.

I think we may do the train up/bus back, then do the dog sled tour.

Any thoughts?

We did the dog sledding (Musher's Camp) and we absolutely loved it. A team of about 20 dogs pull you up and over a trail and you get to interact with the dogs and hold puppies. Our twin girls loved it. On the way out we even got to see a couple of grizzlies (from a distance). I highly recommend it.
