Cruise Alaska/Volendam

We will be cruising to Alaska from Vancouver on 7/21 on the Volendam..........has anyone taken this cruise? Any info/reviews re: ship, vancouver, ports of call, excursions, food gratefully accepted. The 4 of us are newbie cruisers and are quite excited!!

Hi. My wife and I will also be cruising for the first time on the 7/21 sailing of the Volendam. We're really looking forward to it. We found some good reviews at www.cruisecritic.com. Just returned on HAL Ryndam Vancouver to Seward and on to Denali Park AK. At Ketchikan do the Misty Fiords Float plane excursion. Juneau do the Helicoper landing on a Glacier. These may seem pricey but they were the highlight of the trip expecially Misty fiords. Our "worst" day was in Sitka were we "just shopped". Try and do as must has you can. If you are like me a trip like this may come only once.
