I'm planning to sail 1/13. Are the excursions offered by MSC worth the $ or can you do it yourself for much less, as is the case in the Caribbean? Can you be specific as to which excursions are a good value and which are not a good value?....thanks

We are on the same cruise, but 20th March. Same question to you really about shore excursions. generally I avoid them, but for columbia and panama it seems you may not have many options but to.

I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet during the cruise. I kept meaning to ask to be connected to your room, but it was never a "good" time to call.

I thought the entertainment was really GREAT! The cabins were not large, the shower, in particular, small. But the cruise is a good value. If someone wants to see the Panama Canal and does NOT have 14 days to travel, this is a good ship. It also goes to islands that most people have not been. The San Blas Islands are the most primitive islands on this hemisphere that I've visited. Most cruises do not go to Cartagena, which is a beautiful, historic city. I really wish I could have visited each of the cities longer... In spite of the fact that there were 4 languages spoken, there were no loud announcements in the cabins, or halls or public rooms. The Cruise Director was amazing with his knowledge of languages....I liked the cruise and would recommend it.
