Nothing firm yet, but various cruise blogs are reporting Disney will reposition the Disney Magic to do Alaska itineraries in 2011.

I am watching a live video feed from Anaheim with Disney executives discussing new itineraries for 2011. Get set west coasters, because the Disney Wonder is coming to southern California - year around! As rumored, the Disney Magic will do Alaskan cruises out of Vancouver round trip, and also going to Anchorage. Disney is also making substantial upgrades to Castaway Cay. Disney Magic is globe-trotting, as it will also do a series of European cruises in 2011.

And it being Disney, the prices are not cheap. Alaska starts at $939 pp for inside cabins.

I had the ships mixed up. The Wonder will do both Alaska and the Mexican Riviera.

From May 3 through September 6, 2011, the Disney Wonder will do seven-night, round-trip Alaska itineraries out of Vancouver with stops at Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan.

From January 23 through April 17, 2011, and again between September 25 and December 18, 2011, the Wonder will do seven-night, round-trip Mexico itineraries from Los Angeles with stops in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.

I know the Disney Cruise CEO said the Wonder would be in L.A. year around! I was watching when he said it. Then the above came out.

It's getting crowded out here; no wonder Princess slashed its Mexican Riviera cruises by half.

Oops, better clarify: slashed the number of cruises by half, not the price; although at $399, that IS about half-price.
