Vista Class Lauderettes

I have heard a number of comments from Holland America fans bemoaning the fact that the new Vista Class ships such as Zuiderdam do not have the customary launderette for guests to use.

I have just received a P&O brochure showing the deck plan for the Arcadia, a Vista Class ship that joins the P&O fleet in 2005. It shows launderettes on decks c, D & E.

So it just shows that it was a choice that HAL must have made to not have launderettes rather than a feature that could not be readily accommodated.

Florida Keith,
I am glad to see that they have decided to provide this facility on the Arcadia. It is always such a nice convenience and so many ships are no longer offering the service.
