I'm trying to find info on the Trans Atlantic crossing of the Sunbird. When is it, and what availability is left? I've been to Sunquest sight, but can not find what I want.

Have brochure in front of me and the transatlantic crossing. It is on the 8th November going from Tenerife, days 2 - 7 at sea, Antigua, St maarten, Tortola, San Juan, at sea, Dominica, St Lucia and then Barbados.

The next cruise goes out from barbados.

I would be female, we live 2 hours north of Toronto in the Grey Bruce area on the Saugeen River. I am a full time house-wife with four almost grown children. Just curious, why do you ask?

I have been on the sun bird. I thought it was a great ship. Espssially the entertainment, which was my favorite.

was on sunbird last week, superb. there was talk about there being a takeover and of the next cruise being cancelled although you know how stories get passed around. we had a 12 hour delay on flight back and got put up in 5 star hotel. would love to hear from any others
another sotory was that they havent been paying dock taxes.

Hi Ann,

it has officially been announced by MyTravel that the company will shut down its cruise division Sun Cruises soon. The ships are being taken over by Louis Cruise Lines of Cyprus within the next four weeks, after which they will be chartered back to MyTravel for several months. "Sunbird" will leave the fleet next January. She will be renamed "Thomson Destiny" and will operate Mediterranean cruises for Thomson Holidays beginning next spring.
