Costa Marina, September 2006 cruise...

Hi All

My daughter is taking me on my first cruise in September 2006 on the Costa Marina ports of call=Trieste/Bari/Corfu/Valletta/Naples/Savona, was wondering if anyone has any experience of this ship (good or bad) would be grateful for your views and advice also on the ports of call.

just was on the Costa Med. and was in Bari. Nice town. Easy to walk around and get to from the port. No need for an excursion at all. We were there when a festival was going on and just loved it. It is like Venice without the canals..I thought it was just going to be a port that we picked up the other passengers in and we thought it charming. It was our first time on a Costa ship and we would highly recommend it.

Thanks for the info-was gonna skip Bari but will definitely go ashore there now, I think the costa marina is the smallest ship in the costa fleet-I just hope that it being smaller doesn't mean more cramped.
