Im from Vancouver Canada..Im really curious if a Canadian was to set up a cruise line based out of Vancouver, sailing to Alaska in spring and summer and MExico, Hawaii, Pacific coastal cruises in the winter if it would be a success..In the 70's we had C.P. ships but they went under, I think the demographics have changed and we have a beautiful cruise ship center and its empty during the winter...It would be strictly Canadian, meaning canadian funds on board, all duty free would be Canadian ..No offense to the American cruise lines but we do have a market and I believe that we need at least one line that caters to us..Im just curious if there are any Canucks out there that would use it rather than a U.S. line..let me know....

Sounds like a good idea to me, but I'm an American http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif You can also go to ports that American's can't. We cannot sail into Cuba. How many ships are you going to have?

Don't mean to be the Grinch here, but it seems to me if there were truly a market there one of the major lines would have already filled it; they don't cater to just Americans.

But then I passed on a chance to buy Apple and Starbuck's stock way back when, so don't listen to me.
